Kylie is mom, wife, yoga teacher and lover of all things fitness related. Her time is spent taking care of her family, sequencing yoga classes, searching for the perfect music for her cycling classes and working out. Kylie's favorite thing to do, besides making up songs with her three-year old, is to inspire and motivate people to lead a healthy, lifestyle.1. How would you spend your ideal Sunday? First, yoga or workout in the morning followed by family fun time. I'm easy to please! We don't have to do any special, just going to the park, grabbing lunch or hanging out at home are perfect!
2. Where do you see yourself in 10 years personally and professionally?
In 10 years I'm sure I'll be consumed with the activities of my child who will be 13. Hopefully, I'll be just as active and able to keep up with him!! Professionally, I see myself leading workshops and trainings, working with more athletic teams as a yoga teacher and also helping people as a nutrition coach.
3. How do you stay motivated when you aren't feeling 'it'?
When motivation wavers, discipline sets in. I know I'll feel better after a yoga class or a workout. I also actively seek out inspiration. Whether it be through a song, a quote or an inspirational video on YouTube, I take matters into my own hands!
4. Creating balance in our lives as women, juggling careers, motherhood, and self care is always challenging. What are some of your hints for doing so?
If it doesn't feel right, don't do it. If you have to force it, don't do it. Don't feel the need to do everything and remember that "no" is a complete sentence. Also remember that other women's priorities may be different from yours and that's OK. You know what's right for you and your family and as long as you're happy, that's all that matters.
